I Have Had Redness And Rash-like Conditions On The Palms

I have had redness and rash-like conditions on the palms of my hands for past 3 or 4 days. I have had a cold that I went to my GP for this week. Based on my physician's assessment that it appeared to be a routine cold as of Tuesday, Oct. 11 and in case the condition did not improve and displayed any other symptoms of an infection, he prescribed me a prescription for Amoxicillin, which I began taking on Tuesday night. My rash and redness on my hand palms began prior to taking Amoxicillin. One other information that my be helpful is that this condition also began after I wore a unused gardening glove that has rubber-like material on the palm portion. I've been applying hydrocortisone each time I wash my hands. For the most part, it has been livable. What do you think this is caused by and what do recommend for home remedy or over the counter medication or ointments?
