I Have Had Serious Cracking And Dryness Around My Fingernails

I have had serious cracking and dryness around my fingernails and it isn't healing. My fingertips are red and swollen. I also have congestion and a cough that won't go away. I had a chest X-ray. The doctor told me that it looked normal. It seems I have some kind of infection somewhere.
