I Have Had Stomach Cramping Today In Midstomach And Both

I have had stomach cramping today in midstomach and both sides of stomach area. Also, for the past few days my stools have been lighter brown than usual. I just got over a respiratory virus too. Another possibly relevant factor is that I have always drank 2 beers per night but recently decided to stop drinking altogether for a while. Haven't had a beer i in 5 days. Could that cause stomach cramping? I had diverticulitis a few weeks ago and it was treated with large doses of antibiotics. I have no fever at all so this isn't likely to be diverticulitis again.
