I Have Had Swelling Behind My Knee Lately, But Not

I have had swelling behind my knee lately, but not last couple of days and has not bothered me too much. Today I played tennis and suddenly felt it hurt, so much so I could not walk any more and put any presuure even standing on it. Now I am icing it and resting and wondering will it go away just resting?
