I Have Had Tendinitis In The Inner And Outer Part

I have had tendinitis in the inner and outer part of my left elbow for months now. By the end of the day my hand and fingers ache when I stretch them or make a fist. I cannot lift heavy bags once I have carried a heavy bag by having the arm extended downward by the weight when I go to bend my elbow it is painful. I've read that cortizone shots will bring the inflammation down and the pain. For the long run how can I get rid of this condition?
