I Have Had Tenosynovitis De Quervain's Syndrome In Left Thumb

I have had tenosynovitis de Quervain's syndrome in left thumb for about 8 months. Ultra sound, laser therapy , ice and splints. -none have improved pain or flexibility. Am considering whether to try either acupuncture or cortisone shot. I'm 72 and very active otherwise. thank you for an opinion.
