I Have Had The Contraceptive Implant Put In About Three

I have had the contraceptive implant put in about three weeks ago and finished my pill about five days after the implant was fitted. I haven't yet had my period but I have had brown thick mucous discharge instead. How would I know if I was pregnant or not?
