I Have Had The Implanon In My Arm Since May

I have had the implanon in my arm since May 2012, it expired May 2015 and I still have not had it removed. I have been having unprotected sex since January and missed my period in March and in April but for the past three days I have been bleeding heavy and having really bad cramps. Could I be pregnant and having a miscarriage.
