I Have Had The Left Lobe Of My Thyroid Removed

I have had the left lobe of my thyroid removed about 3 years ago, some of the same symptoms have reoccured, difficulty swallowing, hoarseness and now I when speaking I will suddenly run out of breath. The last ultrasound a year ago did not reveal any new growth on the right. Are my symptoms from the surgery or should I be pushing this for more testing with my physician?
