I Have Had This Lump On The Side Of My

I have had this lump on the side of my neck,a few inches back from the bottom of my ear. I was soft and a week ago I squeezed it and blood came out and it went down in size. Yesterday I pricked it and it is now pretty flap.At first I thought it was a bite ,but just don't know,what it was and what caused it .
