I Have Had Two Teeth Extracted And Was Told A

I have had two teeth extracted and was told a third one has an abscess at the root but I need to wait for the dentist to consult with a colleague because the third one extends into the maxillary sinus. At the time I was also dealing with a throat infection for which I was given cefixime. When I told the dentist about my antibiotic for my throat I was given roxithromycin and tinidazole for my teeth and told to stop taking the cefixime. Will the roxithromycin and tinidazole be effective in keeping the abscess at bay until I can get a confirmation on the extraction?
