I Have Has Swollen Tonsil And They Have White And

I have has swollen tonsil and they have white and red lines. I have had post nasal drip and a cold for about 4 weeks including a cough. I went to the doctor they said it want not step but they gave me a script for antibiotics for bacteria but has not gone away. I had mono as a young adult and get sick easy
