I Have Heart Palpitations Since I Have Been 10. I

I have heart palpitations since I have been 10. I have been to a cardiologist and everything is normal. My mom has it too but as she got older she ended up having the cardio ablation. My question is this... I just got off an airplane and my heart did that while we were rising to the elevation of our cruising altitude. Things went black for a min. Could altitude do that?
