I Have Herpes And Haven't Had An Outbreak In Over

I have herpes and haven't had an outbreak in over five years. Some purplish dark spots appeared on it over night not like over a few days but literally overnight and it doesn't look like any outbreak I've ever had there's no bumps or blisters on it what could that be
