I Have Herpes And My Partner May Have Put His

I have herpes and my partner may have put his lips on my clitoris, it's unclear in my memory if he did. Contact wold have been at the most a couple of seconds. I don't remember if I yelled at him to stop before he even reach it. I just cant remember if he did it or not. What are his chances of being infected? I've never had an outbreak, is it possible I was shedding in the area?
