I Have Hypertension And Am A Type 2 Diabetic (lotrel

I have hypertension and am a type 2 diabetic (lotrel 20/5 for my bp and 5mg glipizide + 1000mg metformin twice daily for sugar). I recently had a lengthy infection in four broken teeth which I finally got extracted about a week ago. The implant placed in one of them became infected and had to be removed a few days ago. Since the procedure my resting heart rate feels lower. I suffer from GAD (.5 mg Ativan for that) so it's usually up a bit. I visited the ER today because of some chest pain and discomfort as well as very severe pain in my neck. They did the blood work, chest X-ray, ekg, and had me on monitors the entire time. they gave me some meds for the neck pain that included benedryl, reglan, and an nsaid. My resting heart rate was 60-70 with some jumps up to 90.

As I said I have anxiety - especially heart anxiety due to a major scare some years ago - and have gone in for chest pain before. Even with anti-anxiety meds my rate never went that low. But it has been lower since the procedure, and I feel like it doesn't elevate like it normally does when doing physical activities like going up steps. So while the numbers looked fine to the docs, they seem to represent a change from the norm and so this has me concerned that it's weakening or something. All tests today were fine. I had a heart ct scan within the last six months that was also fine. Yet the chest pain and discomfort has continued intermittently throughout the day.

I do have some gastro issues (gerd) and know the difference between reflux pain and other types.

I'll also note that I've been on clindamycen since the procedure. This is my fourth course of that particular drug since June due to various infections (the afore mentioned teeth that were pulled). Also on 800mg ibuprofen since the procedure.

I have a hard time accepting that my heart is okay when I feel the chest pain right in that area. Yet I find it hard to describe the types of sensations I have. They don't line up with traditional cardiac symptoms and I've had every test in the book multiple times (even had a stress test about a year and a half ago). I am very much overweight at 330.
