I Have Hyperthyroid Because Of Subacute Thyroidis, Dr Gave Me

I have hyperthyroid because of subacute thyroidis, Dr gave me Propranalol but it caused depression which I've never had. I stopped taking it and I'm much better in my head but my resting heart rate is back at 120, and I have the shakes. I'm 46 and not overweight. Is there any other way to reduce the heart rate? Is it dangerous for it to be that high?
