I Have Inflamation Of The Eyelid On My Right Eye.

I have inflamation of the eyelid on my right eye. It started at the base of my eyelashes. Now, inside of my eye lid has inflamation too. The eye doctor says it must be blepharitis. Gave erythromycin ointment which does not seem to be effective. I am reading on different websites for eye health including WebMD. They say this isa chronic condition which is worrisome. Which medicine do you think is the best for treatment of this inflamation?
