I Have Intermitant Flashing Lights In My Right Eye. I

I have intermitant flashing lights in my right eye. I went to my eye doctor and my eye was fine. He said to ask for a checkup of my carotid arteries and a vascular workup. I've been having problems with high blood pressure and the meds he's given me do nothing for this.
