I Have Itching In My Right Ear That Won't Go

I have itching in my right ear that won't go away. I thought I was getting a cold but only have sore throat. For a few days before this I had no energy, real tired and headache. I thought maybe I had was wax in my ear, tried putting drops of hydro peroxide followed by warm water to remove. That didn't help. Could this be a system of ear infection. I have no pain just constant itching inside the ear.
