I Have Itching On Both Sides Of My Abdomen. If

I have itching on both sides of my abdomen. If I scratch it, it turns bright pink. Since the first time it appeared about 6 weeks ago I applied rubbing alcohol to stop the itching. It seemed to help and looked like it was fading.
Now, every once in a while it starts again but I'm resisting the urge to scratch. It doesn't spread and is about the size of a quarter on each side.
