I Have Just Been Diagnosed With High Blood Sugar Diabetes

I have just been diagnosed with high Blood Sugar Diabetes , High potassium, and hyperthyroid. If I take Iodine drops with Glycerin (vegetarian). Will it help my problems. I have cut all cards. and am eating small frequent meals low in Potassium (No Avocadoes, no Broccoli, Spinach).
