I Have Little Flesh On My Shins.For 2/3 Years Every

I have little flesh on my shins.For 2/3 years every time I knock them it bruises and does not recover. They now look dreadful. I am taking steroids at the moment for temporal arteritis but this was happening long before this. I have tried support stockings but to no avail.
