I Have Menieres Disease. I Have Been Taking 2 Diazapam

I have menieres disease. I have been taking 2 diazapam (2 mg each) twice a day for about a year and a half. It has worked very well. I also have been taking 50 mg of dramamine for menieres for over 25 years and it has kept it under control up until 6 years ago. Then I had some dizziness off and on for 4 years. a couple years ago, I had severe dizziness and ended up in the ER twice. That's when the ENT gave me the diazapam. My primary care doctor thinks I should try to get off the diazapam and he gave me a patch to try called Transderm -Scop 1.5 mg/3 DAY. I haven't started using the patch yet because I read reviews from people who got very sick while using it and were some were sick for weeks after using the patch. I am kind of worried about trying it. My question is should I quit taking the dramamine and diazapam if I try the patch? After reading all the reviews from people, I am concerned about using the patch. I don't want to take a chance of getting sick from the patch especially when the diazapam works so well.
