I Have Met Someone Who Says He Has Esophageal Cancer.

I have met someone who says he has esophageal cancer. It was in remission but has now returned. He said he is taking an oral medication for it. I was under the impression IV drugs are used to treat esophageal cancer, are there oral drugs for esophageal cancer? I am a little skeptical as my husband died of esophageal cancer.
