I Have Minor Surgery In 1 Week 1 Day. I

I have minor surgery in 1 week 1 day. I smoke weed everyday after work, I was going to stop smoking it 2-3 days before the op. I know it's suggested not to be done but is it safe? And should I tell the anistiesiest on the day and risk them cancelling the minor operatipn or not tell and risk them not knowing any information. To be honest I'm gonna smoke either way but local doctors can't give me a straight answer these days because of health and safety. I'm aware I shouldn't smoke it but lots of people smoke it and sure people have been operated on with it in there blood stream. I would not turn up under influence. Thanks for the help
