I Have Muscus Drainage In My Throat That I Have

I have muscus drainage in my throat that I have difficulty clearing and I wake up feeling like I can't breathe. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am asthmatic though this isn't asthma related other than I get panicked which doesn't help. Thank you.
