I Have Nerve Damage (neuropathy) From A Severe B-12 Deficiency.

I have nerve damage (neuropathy) from a severe B-12 deficiency. The B-12 deficiency has been fixed and the prognosis is that my nerves should repair fully over time, maybe up to 2 years or longer. In the meantime, should I avoid lifting all together, at all, or avoid lifting heavy? I am very active otherwise and get plenty of non-impact cardo; the pins and needles neuropathy in my feet prevent me from running (and also the nerve pain I suffer for days afterwards).
