I Have Neuropathy In Both Hands But Am Not Diabetic.

I have neuropathy in both hands but am not diabetic. I take cymbalta, metanx and lyrica. Fingernails are bad due to neuropathy, but I would feel so much better with pretty nails, this means a lot to a 69 year old woman. And I can pick up small things easier with a little of nail length.
Can I wear acrylic nails or the new gel nails to make my nails strong without damage to my nail beds? This question may seem petty, but is important to me and my appearance. Thank you for your time.
