I Have No Iron Stores Per My Internal Medicine Doctor

I have no iron stores per my internal medicine doctor and need to get infusions for it. I have had low iron since childhood, my body does not absorb iron well. I have a lot or muscle pain and joint pain in my right arm where it connects to my shoulder, and in my right hip joint. I am very tired and weak feeling and I have been craving ice for about the last 4 years ( I keep cups of ice with me wherever I go), my legs are extremely restless, I wake up with headaches almost every day, have been short of breath for many years with no tests finding out why and most recently my skin itself hurts. I feel like I am bruised all over and it hurts to even be touched. It is hard to sleep because it hurts so much to lie down and my leg pain is worse when I am off my feet for some reason. Why would my skin itself hurt? Is this related to not having any iron stores? My ferrous level was 3.6.
