I Have Not Had A Period Since I Gave Birth

I have not had a period since I gave birth via c section that was nearly 9 months ago. I've taken multiple pregnancy tests and all were negative including one I took at the hospital. I was steadily losing my pregnancy weight then all of a sudden started gaining weight rapidly. All the weight gain is in my lower belly near the scar. What are the possible reasons for these symptoms.
