I Have Noticed On N Off The Last Few Weeks

I have noticed on n off the last few weeks n more so the last 2 wks my vagina smells like garlic I cook with fresh garlic a lot but this just started happening n then laght when I went to get in the shower I noticed some sticky clear discharged that smelt like garlic too why is this happening I called my Obgyn n they called in an antibiotic but no one explained to me why this is happening it's extremely embarrassing n the smell is getting very strong I have no pain or itchiness either ?
