I Have Noticed Over The Last Couple Of Weeks That

I have noticed over the last couple of weeks that occasionally I feel my heart thump hard (almost jumping). When it does this, my pulse/heart beat stops temporarily. Sometimes it will do this over the course of 15 minutes or so....jumping hard once every 25 beats or so. Is this something I should have checked by my doctor?
