I Have Noticed Recently That I Have A Small Though

I have noticed recently that I have a small though patch of skin under my clitorous that stings, and feels worse when I wee. I've recently tried a new shower gel which game me thrush and I woke myself up one night and I was grabbing the front of my underwear and rubbing it against me to try and scratch the itching caused from the thrush. Once the thrush went after taking the oral tablet I then noticed this stinging and thought it was cystitis but after seeing my doctor she had a look and said it was an ulcer. She said it could be herpes, then I informed her of the thrush and scratching and she apologised and said If I had told her that before age would never have said herpes and that I've just irritated myself. I then went to have a test anyway, but will have to wait 7 days for the results. The other doctor who saw it said it could be from friction due to the position but we'll know in a week. I've recently had a baby with my partner of 11 yrs. Our little boy is 7 months. I have been 100% faithful over the 11 yrs and I am 99.9% sure my partner has been. Do you think this could be herpes? Could I have caught this over 11 yrs ago and has no initial breakout until now? My doctor said she doubted that was possible but that would be my only concern as I honestly believe my partner has also be faithful. It is just 1 small ulcer that I can feel but in all honesty when I look I can only just work out that there is a tiny patch that is ever so slightly more red in colour to the rest of that part of me. I never noticed an actually blister before I noticed the rough patch. I know you can't give me a 100% accurate answer and the results will be the only way I'll know but with what I've said does it sound like herpes and could either me or my partner had the virus for 12 yrs without having a breakout?
