I Have Noticed That My Past Few Bowel Movements Have

I have noticed that my past few bowel movements have not looked normal. Very dark in color and not the proper consistency of what I consider a common bowel movement. Today I took a closer look and it appears that I am passing very large dark blood clots in my feces. What would you recommend?
