I Have Numb Toes, Both Feet, Since December. I Associate

I have numb toes, both feet, since December. I associate it with extreme cold when caught out on icy day with wrong shoes. It was very painful. Also had chilblains. Blood test one year ago = Ok. Also bad back.
Am flying to Oz tomorrow. Have bought compression socks. On the packet it says don't wear them if you have poor circulation...which is I suppose what I have. Do I wear them? Which is the best risk?!
