I Have One Swollen Tonsil. It Is Not Painful But

I have one swollen tonsil. it is not painful but i can feel it when I swallow. also, I started snoring terribly to the point where it affects my wife's sleep. I have not seen a doctor about this since there was no pain. I did not think it was anything serious but it has remained swollen for over a month now. What is wrong with me?
