I Have Only 1 Kidney. Extreme Back Pain Spinal Stenosis

I have only 1 kidney. Extreme back pain spinal stenosis , scoliosis etc. Am in the process of getting off 50 Mcg fentenyl patches and 10/325 mg hydrocodone as breakthrough. Long story short am on Fentenyl 12 Mcg and in so much pain that I just cannot deal with it.. I have never abused my meds am 77 yrs old. I am thinking about asking my primary care Dr if I can go back on the Hydrocodone but nothing else. What do you think?
