I Have Outer Ankle Pain With Pain Radiating Into The

I have outer ankle pain with pain radiating into the heal area after a bad roll injury 1 week ago. The swelling has gone down but not gone. Bruising is still noticeable at lower side of foot.

I can bear weight, have good range of motion in all directions except toes point down. Very sensitive to touch on the outer lower bone and unable to feel all the same edges as the opposite foot.

would i treat if it is broken? Not sure I want to spend the money for an x-ray if we wouldn't treat, rest and be carefull?

worked most of the week stable to walk on but still very tender mostly on the bone itself
