I Have Pain And Some Swelling In My Legs/shin Area.

I have pain and some swelling in my legs/shin area. I have had this before and it went away. If feels bruised inside, but no bruise, no trauma occurred. It just started from nowhere and same thing happened before. Any ideas what this could be? It is pretty painful to touch and after lying down and getting up to use the bathroom at night it really hurts to walk at first.
