I Have Pain In My Left Side Only. This Only

I have pain in my left side only. This only happens at night when I lay on my left side. During the day, I go to the gym and work out, work around the house etc. only at night . Doctor has given me Gabapentin 300MG, one at night. Little concerned about taking it since reading the side affects.
