I Have Pain In My Lower Buttock Whenever I Sit

I have pain in my lower buttock whenever I sit for extended periods on the carpet on the sofa etc. But no pain when I am on my sitting job at the office on a laptop.

From little reading on the net the pain seems to come from the lowest bone parts of the spine like the coccyx
