I Have Pain In My Right Side. I've Been To

I have pain in my right side. I've been to a gastroenterologist and had tests ran. His final conclusion is that I either have a pulled muscle or fractured/bruised rib. My regular MD thinks it might be my cartilage damaged? Can you explain about this cartilage? Thank You!
