I have pain in the head when swallowing, what could it be from? mostly when im swallowing my own saliva and neck is straight. when I tilt my neck back and swallow it feels btr. one yr ago I was diagn with two hernatied disks in my neck for a yr now where one is compressing on spinal cord. will most likely be getting surgery, since I had three mri"s and isn't getting better. I don't have much neck pain or arm pain. my left calf is numbish for a few months now and my surgeon tells me cervical myelopathy. when this all happened I was getting over a calf strain injury from my exercise class, I started to feel tingling in arms and fingers and a weird feeling in head, and then developed a sensitivity to sound which I diagnoised as hyperacusis. which has gone away thank god. I also developed a problem when I speak, I feel pressure in neck and head, a very uncomfortable feeling. It was my worst side effect from all this but dctrs don't know if its related to the neck. I had a lot of anxiety in the beginning from all this happening to me. I have gotten over the bad anxiety many months ago. speaking problem much better from the beginning but still exists. the swallowing problem started 3 months ago. also when I swallow I feel a lump in the back of throat sometimes. I feel maybe its not related to neck. what do u think the swallowing problem is and the speaking problem? the surgeon told me he doesnt know if it will go away with surgery. very frustrated not knowing everything im incountering. before all this I had perfect health! can u suggest what kind of dctr can help me with the swallowing problem?
