I Have Pain In What I Think Is My Left

I have pain in what I think is my left hip. It is sharp pand that lasts for several minutes dpnding on how I move. It then gets better and becomes less painful. Advil and flexor it does not seem to do much. It is especially bad at night and ask me. I has been going on a week. Do I need to see a doctor?
