I Have Painful Sores That Spear At First As Tender

I have painful sores that spear at first as tender nervy pains and the develop into blisters. Most around the middle of the bottom lip. They seem to last 1-2 weeks. There is also tenderness in my bottom two middle teeth. At first I thought they were cold sores, then I got tested for lip cancer which came up clear diagnosing only sun damage in the area. Does this sound like canker sores to you?
