I Have Pe's In Both Lungs For The Second Time

I have pe's in both lungs for the second time was on warfarin for a year they took me off and am now back on it. I have severe pain almost like a burning sensation on the upper right side by the shoulder blade feels almost like a pulled muscle that keeps locking up. will a heating pad help and is it ok to use one while on blood thinner?
