I Have Postherapetic Neuralgia After Shingles In My Head. I

I have postherapetic neuralgia after shingles in my head. I was put on Lyrica 75 mg 3 times a day. I am also taking morphine 10 mg 3 times a day. After taking these pills my pain is tolerable but before my next time to take them again 8 hours intervals, I have severe continuous attacks about 2 hours before the 8th hour. I will see my doctor and he will increase it but I do not know if he is going to increase the right amount. How does a GP have the knowledge to know this as he looked up his medical book to see what it said about this pill. Is a Neurologist more knowledgable and realiable to make this decision.
