I Have Pressure On My Eardrum That Won't Go Away

I have pressure on my eardrum that won't go away despite having earwax removed, I have difficulty hearing in that ear and I have symptoms such as popping like firecrackers. What do you think this is? I have an appointment with an ENT, but the soonest he can see me is in 10 days. I'm miserable. It's been going on for about 6 weeks.
