I Have Problems With My Neck Bad Wear And Tear

I have problems with my neck bad wear and tear but no nerve inpingement. For months I have had pains in both arms which I was told was coming from my neck. But can this still be so if I have no trapped nerves. Pain is especially bad if I even rest on arm. At minute it's in left arm and left side of chest.
